I have a degree in building science as well as in design, and I can share that expertise with the rest of the staff, while not being pigeonholed—I still get to design.

We're encouraged to make an impact beyond our projects' property lines. I feel lucky to be able to teach at CCA and UC Berkeley, and I'm the co-chair of the AIA National 2030 Commitment working group. I am able to connect with our local community and push a national advocacy agenda, all while working on meaningful design. I love working for a firm where everyone is so attuned to detail and design and building performance.
