I am motivated by the idea that publicly accessible spaces are definitive in the success of communities.
My interest is driven by previously working on educational and cultural spaces, which revealed that these types of projects are challenged by forces on all sides: budgets, politics, and issues of social and environmental justice. The opportunity to design for the public brings an obligation to manage these forces and facilitate the advancement of constituent communities. I came to LMSA because of the focus on these issues and am excited to prioritize this type of work.
