In tandem with design and construction of 2828 16th Street, LMSA provided tenant improvement services of a 4,600 SF ground-floor commercial space for use as the Felton Solmar Early Childhood Education Center. As Felton's first site co-located in a 100% affordable housing building, the Solmar Learning Center provides a safe space to learn in an community designed to nurture the whole family. The interior space features 3 classrooms (1 infant, 1 toddler, and 1 pre-k), teacher and administrative support spaces, and a community room. An overhead roll-up door can be opened to connect the community room with the 930SF outdoor play yard for larger events.
