I believe the designer should engage with the larger community and think beyond the four walls of the building.
I wanted to work for a firm that was dealing with the public realm, and so I was attracted to LMSA’s social mission. I’ve always been interested in landscape design and city planning as well as architecture. Architecture can be a transformative tool in reshaping communities and providing for healthy living environments. It’s not just about aesthetics. It’s about how the building connects to the context and how it influences the city around it.
