I have always been passionate about urban design.

Growing up, I lived in two very different places – a unique urban development of Akademgorodok in Siberia, Russia and suburban Maryland. The significant differences that I experienced in the built environment was what sparked my attention to urban design and development. It influenced how I studied architecture, focusing on the public realm and the development of abandoned sites in cities.

I was drawn to LMSA because of diversity of projects in urban context, both adaptive reuse and new construction, and I’m incredibly impressed of the firm’s efforts to serve the public with mission-based projects.
