Design is about much more than just the aesthetic object.

I got my bachelor’s in art, which is when I became fascinated by sensory and spatial engagement. When I was studying architecture in graduate school, Bill Leddy came and presented the Sweetwater Spectrum Community project to one of my classes, and that really piqued my interest, the way LMSA engages a vast array of considerations beyond the building form—in this case, how do you design residences that are tailored to make adults with autism feel at home? That kind of thinking—beyond the box—drew me here.
