If I was only interested in craft, I could just design single-family, high-end residences. But I don't see that as making a difference. We can support communities that are underserved, communities that design sometimes ignores.

The schools we design are another piece of that idea. How can we give kids the tools to engage with the world in new ways? How can we make sustainability part of their lives? They’re going to be building the world of the future.
