Before I came to LMSA, I did a stint working on affordable housing in New Mexico. It was tough.
In retrospect, though, I liked it. It taught me a lot about balancing efficiency and beauty in design, and it gave me an appreciation for LMSA’s work when I returned to the Bay Area. I also have a background in fine arts, so there’s a part of me that’s very interested in detail. The Rene Cazenave Apartments struck me for its social impact on the city, and the Lodge at the Golden Gate for its modern detailing and finishes.
